Okay, I was very busy and haven't got the time to watch the news. Today I read something about "Nicole's" retraction about her case against Lance Corporal Daniel Smith.
I personally had doubts on the validity of her statements. I am not in a position to judge her in any matter but the whole story was vaguely stated. So many loopholes. She won the case but still she claims that there is no justice here in the Philippines. I must admit that most of the time you can say that. But what is justice really? justice for me is seeing people eat at least three times a day.
Justice came from the word "just", anything that does not fall under the category of justice is unjust right? How can we know that what you are fighting for is justice? We can feel it. If you are not sure, then it might be unjust to file a case against any person. In any court a decision were made with a phrase: beyond unreasonable doubt. I don't know now if that phrase still had a firm conviction every time used in any court decision.
Whatever happen with this case? I just can't control my emotions. After all the things that was fought for? She will suddenly go to the US with her American boyfriend and 1ook pesos leaving her supporters behind? Who used who? I felt numbness and sick on how the things went on.
It is a grrrrrr moment for me and made me laugh hard too...Politics!
Lady JUSTICE!(where are you?!!please come back...please put back your robe, let your eyes be closed again to not see the people involved, just listen carefully and weigh each others statements and decide beyond unreasonable doubt)

Climate Change: How do we deal with it?
I just came from a forum discussing climate change. For years, I have been exposed to the issues on climate change introduced by our college professors. Many might say that they know what climate change really is. And I must also admit that I assumed I knew what I needed to know about climate change and I was mistaken. I have so many catching ups to do. I think I was the youngest there and yet they(the group) also thinks that for years of studying climate change of more than a decade or so, they still need to catch up with it. Hmmmnnnn...
While I was there at the forum, I was bombarded with issues concerning climate change, an inter-connected issue that dwells within a bigger arena, the world. I cannot say that I am a person who knows anything about climate change. I am just beginning to have a grasp again on the issue. I am just a single person who wants to understand the true issues concerning this hype.
Yes...a hype to many but a serious problem to some groups of people who believes that it needs to be addressed as soon as possible. Having a mere peek at climate change, I was motivated to look much closer on the topic. I, personally, have this inkling that climate change is not just a minuscule problem that most people view it as such. CLIMATE CHANGE can surely change the way how we live. We must be aware and be obligated to walk, talk and act in support of all advocacy that are pointing towards the prevention of the effects we get from climate change. Climate change is not new, it was just ignored most of the time and now we are in the midst of its consequences.
Are you aware of the issues as an individual? Is it just the mere fact of knowing the term Climate Change per se? Are your notions on climate change really explains and answers your questions and observations on what were and are happening around you?
Think about it...Do we want a world that caters to our needs as a biological being that are coming from the ecological part? or a world that gives us the material things that can provide us an easy life like technologies but are having harmful effects to our planet? Can you be a person that supports a true/genuine sustainable development? Can you as a person help in bringing down the carbon footprints that are emitted to the atmosphere? Do you believe that this global economic crisis has something to do or connected in a way with climate change?
Then, start with yourself, act now and be aware that YOU can make a CHANGE to rehabilitate our Planet Earth. I am not trying to convince you but I am motivating you to think and re-think. Living in this planet is not just for ourselves, we are not the only privileged ones. Be obligated to think that we have to live with other organisms. We are not the only one dwelling in this planet and the point is, planet Earth is the only planet that we can rely on and we should take care of it.
Look around you. Open your eyes and your mind. Are you complaining about sudden changes of weather conditions, temperatures, depletion of resources?...Stop complaining! Start your emancipation. Try opening you eyes and mind then you'll see and realize that this world needs YOU!
